When Matt LeBlanc played the ladies’ man Joey Tribbiani on FRIENDS, the world first met and fell in love with him. Fans laughed along with and at LeBlanc’s character on FRIENDS for ten seasons, but his career has been in flux since the show ended. LeBlanc took a five-year break after his spin-off series Joey was cancelled.

He did, however, return ten years later. LeBlanc’s career recovered after his break, with lead roles in shows such as Episodes and Man With a Plan. He has demonstrated his range as an actor and talent as an entertainer, despite his endeavours not being as significant as FRIENDS. Now the question that many fans have is if Matt LeBlanc is Italian. Let’s find out more about him.

Is Matt LeBlanc Italian? Where Is He From?

Matt LeBlanc is the son of Patricia and Paul LeBlanc and was born in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1967. His father was a mechanic, while his mother was an office manager of Italian and French-Canadian ancestry. LeBlanc is only partially Italian, despite the fact that he plays an Italian first-generation on FRIENDS

He claimed in an interview that on every holiday, his family used to travel to Italy to stay with his mother’s mother. He even said he spent three days in Rome as well, so he is familiar with both the French and the Italian cultures.
